Great tips and links. Thanks a lot! As a new switcher, this really.helps. Once I put OSX on my Wind netbook as a trial and loved it, my Win notebook went up for sale and I never looked back. Now I only use Win for Delorme maps and MS Access and it is so great to be able to run both on my Macbook Pro. Now if only Apple would make a tablet netbook. Love my iPhone also, even better after I finally jailbroke it mostly for backgrounding.

    There’s a rumor that Apple would unveil a netbook in 2009 ;)

    Hi,
    thanks for these useful mac-tips!
I had another question: When I switch to using a mac, I need a good peace of code-software for html, css, php.
    I prefer freeware.
Has someone good advice for me?

The one major stumbling block with a Mac (and the clincher for me) is the cost involved. I can get a PC of similar or better spec for far less than it would cost to get a basic Mac. I can save even more by going for a Linux install.

Did Apple bag the netbook idea and focus on their tablet? (and doesn’t Apple already have a netbook called the mac book air?)
